As the military seized control of the country and engaged in violent crackdowns of people, many crises have emerged—from banking to loss of incomes and homes. Rise and Shine with Freedom will use 100% of profit from sales to support humanitarian assistance.

About Myanmar
"This is Burma, and it is quite unlike any land you know about" - Rudyard Kipling.
On February 1, 2021, the military of Myanmar, known as the Tatmadaw, staged a coup d’etat and and deposed the democratically-led government, unjustly detaining and charging prominent political figures including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. The Tatmadaw baselessly claimed that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and her colleagues were guilty of illegal activities. In the aftermath of the coup, masses of citizens all over Myanmar gathered in the streets to protest the military’s power grab and voiced their dissent on social media platforms. Burmese people and allies of democracy all over the world shared their outrage at these events. They made it extremely clear, as they have done in past decades, that they will not tolerate an authoritarian regime.
The resistance has since developed into the Civil Disobedience Movement, or CDM. The protests were initially peaceful- until the Tatmadaw started to use violent force to silence protestors. The military has increasingly escalated this violence and barbaric treatment, from barging into random houses and kidnapping children to torturing and killing civilians. Internet is also frequently cut off in order to block communications about CDM. Yet the people of Myanmar refuse to give up their fight. They continue to persevere in the face of extreme terror.
